This is the month for festivals galore – choose from a juicy rack of ribs, an opera or a music festival. Alternatively, take a break from reality to watch the local play edition of Disney classic Peter Pan, or go on a shopping spree with yearly pop-up markets.
1. Boutique Fairs

Date(s): 15 to 17 November
Venue: F1 Pit Building (near Promenade)
Price: Free entry
Check out a huge variety of brands and their handcrafted shoes, accessories, jewellery, clothing and more. This sustainable and design-oriented market also offers food and beverages. Pay this event a visit over the weekend and take home some great art.
2. Artbox

Date(s): 15 to 17 November & 26 to 28 November
Venue: The Grounds@Kranji, Singapore Turf Club (Carpark B), 1 Turf Club Avenue, S738078
Price: Free entry
The huge pop-up market, Artbox, is coming back for its third run. The main draw is the Garden of Creation, an experimental art playground with a number of activities. The event will also feature food from all over Singapore and Malaysia. Keep an eye out for cool Instagram photo-ops to update your feed!
3. Chinatown Opera Festival 2019

Date(s): 20 to 24 November
Venue: Banda Street Carpark, 2 Banda Street, S059962
Price: $10
The first opera festival in Singapore will feature Hainanese, Hokkien, and Cantonese opera with performances from popular troupes, along with various free games and activities. Head over if you are an opera fan, and bring your friends and family along!
4. Peter Pan in Serangoon Gardens

Venue: The Ngee Ann Kongsi Theatre @ WILD RICE

Lovers of the Disney classic, Peter Pan, rejoice – there’s a new musical in town. Directed by Ivan Heng, Founding Artistic Director of local theatre company WILD RICE, the musical’s cast boasts of Singapore’s finest, including Pam Oei as Peter Pan and Siti Khalijah Zainal as Captain Hook. Take a break from your exam woes, and head on down to support Singapore’s emerging theatre scene.
5. Ribfest 2019

Date: 23 November
Venue: Morganfield’s – The Star Vista, 1 Vista Exchange Green, 138617
Price: $88
Morganfield’s annual Ribfest is back! Celebrate Thanksgiving with a feast in buffet-style, with free flow wine and beer. This event also features live band performances.
6. Neon Lights 2019

Date(s): 23 November to 24 November
Venue: Fort Canning Park
Price: From $128
Back for its fourth edition, this year’s Neon Lights festival will feature a star-studded lineup, including Grammy-award winning British band Mumford & Sons, Clean Bandit, and multi-platinum superstar Halsey. British electronic-soul act HONNE, Norwegian electro-pop artist AURORA and Singaporean band Disco Hue will also make their appearance. If music’s not your thing, this music festival will also be packed with workshops and events to suit everyone.
